The end stops inform the Hörmann garage door operator in which position the door is fully open and closed. One for the gate open position, one for the gate closed position, so normally two end stops are needed.

When the door is installed, the Hörmann end stop is first loosely inserted into the guide rail between the guide carriage and the operator. Then push the gate by hand into the open end position and attach the end stop.

For the gate closed position, insert the end stop into the guide rail between the guide carriage and the gate and push the gate by hand into the gate closed end position. Now push the end stop approximately 10 mm further towards the gate and secure it there.

If the garage door does not reach the full passage height in the end position, the rear end stop can be omitted and the stop integrated in the drive head can be used instead.
